Dubai Police Smart Home Security: How to Protect Your Home While Travelling

Going on a summer trip but worried about leaving your home alone? Dubai Police has a smart solution for you. The Smart Home Security System keeps your home safe 24/7 — even when you are thousands of miles away. This system is built in partnership with e& (formerly Etisalat) and connects your home directly to Dubai Police.

Planning a trip can be stressful, especially when it comes to home safety. If you want to stay connected while abroad, it also helps to have a good data plan. You can check out Du Unlimited Data For 1 Month to stay connected with your home security alerts from anywhere in the world.

What Is This System?

This is the UAE’s first 24/7 monitored home security system. It uses smart cameras and sensors placed inside and outside your home. If anything suspicious happens, the system sends an alert to a monitoring station run by e&. After the alert is verified, Dubai Police are informed right away for fast action.

Who Can Apply?

Any Dubai resident can apply for this service. You need a valid Emirates ID and an active email address. The service is open to both villa owners and tenants. There is no need to own the property — renters can also sign up.

How Does It Work?

Once installed, the system uses three main devices:

  • Motion Detectors – These detect unusual movement inside your home and send alerts immediately.
  • Door and Window Sensors – These alert the monitoring team the moment any door or window is opened without permission.
  • Touch Screen Hub – This is the control panel. You can manage all connected devices and get live notifications from it.

All devices are installed and maintained by certified technicians. You do not need any technical knowledge to use this system.

How Much Does It Cost?

The pricing is flexible and depends on your preferred payment plan:

  • One-time payment: AED 3,261.30 (includes 5% VAT)
  • 1-year installments: AED 311.85/month + AED 261.45 upfront
  • 3-year installments: AED 147/month + AED 261.45 upfront

All plans include professional installation, round-the-clock monitoring, and maintenance during the warranty period.

How to Register?

Signing up is simple and fully online. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit homesecurity.dubaipolice.gov.ae and log in with your UAE PASS.
  2. Click “Register” and fill in your name, mobile number, email, and Emirates ID details.
  3. Upload a scanned copy of your Emirates ID (both sides).
  4. Enter your home address or Makani number.
  5. Add a secondary contact (like a family member).
  6. Choose your package and pay online using a debit or credit card.

After payment, you will receive your installation date by notification.

Stay Informed While You Travel

Living in the UAE means you rely on telecom services daily. Staying connected while travelling is very important. If you are an Etisalat user, you can learn How to Check Balance in Etisalat to manage your mobile account easily from abroad. Also, if you ever get a missed call from an unknown number before your trip, do not ignore it — use the Who Called Me From This Number UAE tool to find out who called you and stay safe from scam calls.

The Dubai Police Smart Home Security System is a great step toward making UAE homes safer. Whether you travel often or just want peace of mind, this service is worth considering. For more helpful UAE guides and tips, visit Ever List.
