He noted that every Emirates aircraft has carried the UAE flag since the airline’s very first flight, and this new livery is a way of honoring the nation that made Emirates possible — by taking that flag higher and further than ever before, onto runways, into skies, and across cities around the world.
Already Flying to New York, Brisbane and Beyond
The specially liveried aircraft, registered as A6-EVG, has already operated flights to New York and Brisbane. Emirates also confirmed that plans are in progress to apply the same flag design to a Boeing 777, the next largest commercial airliner in the fleet.
