Al Jahili Fort – Al Ain

Al Jahili fort was constructed in the 19th century to protect the farmers of date palms. With the passage of time, this place was turned into the military base area of Oman’s forces. It was opened to the public in 2008 to let people explore historic elements, culture, architecture, etc. People from all across the city visit this old site to discover its historical richness of the site.

The structures and other preservations at this site offer a direct bond to the historical happenings of the 19th century. There are various public transportation points to reach this fort easily. This place is now managed and controlled by the UAE’s Department of Culture and Tourism. Entry to Al Jahili Fort is free for the public.
