The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the world’s largest mosques, opened to the public in 2007. This beautiful Mosque interior features the world’s largest hand-crafted carpet, 24-karat gold-plated Swarovski crystal chandeliers, and 82 large domes with calligraphic verses of the Quran on its inner surfaces.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is built on an area of approximately 30 acres and can handle more than 40,000 worshippers at a single time. The best times to fully explore the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque are early morning or late afternoon for cooler temperatures and a more spiritual experience. There is no entry fee at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
