Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village is a well-known coastal settlement once ruled by Sheikh Qadib bin Ahmed Al Zaabi in 1820. Abandoned since the 1960s, it now attracts tourists to understand the historical background of Ras Al Khaimah. This Village is a preserved “ghost town” where visitors can explore the remnants of its past, including a fort, mosques, traditional houses, a souq, and many more.
Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village was built using traditional local materials, such as coral blocks, fossilized beach rock, gypsum, mangrove beams, and date palm trunks, reflecting the architectural heritage. There is no entry fee at Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village.
