Dhayah Fort is one of the most famous historical fortresses, which was built in the early 19th century and publicly opened in the 1990s in Ras Al Khaimah. This 70-meter-high fort, accessible by climbing over 200 steps, offers spectacular views from its summit. The Department of Antiquities and Museums plans to turn this entire area into an archaeology park.
The richness of fertile palm gardens, acacia forests, mangrove-covered lagoons, and marine habitats surrounding the Dhayan Fort enhances the natural beauty of this place in the northern Emirates. This fort is not accessible to prams, wheelchairs, or other mobility aids. The best time to visit Dhayah Fort is during daylight hours because there is no light in the evening.
